Newbury Carnival 2009
This year Newbury Sub-Aqua Club entred in the
Newbury Carnival.
This is the first year that we have entered the Carnival, and we had a great turnout for our theme "
Finding Nemo". We helped to raise money for
Buddies, a local charity.The Buddies project, based in Newbury, finds buddies for youngsters with special needs or a physical disability who can then take them out to enjoy mainstream leisure activities. Some of them joined us in the parade.

...to this!
The day was a great success, despite a flat battery, with the mobile reef joining in the parade, and a hula girl, jelly fish (stinging and normal) and a ray all collecting over £300 for Buddies. Buddies is a charity for children where Erik and Gareth’s wives work.
Overall a good time was had by all, capped off with a splendid BBQ at Gordon and Moira’s.
