Training with Newbury SubAqua Club

Core Diver Training

We run one Ocean Diver (PDF) course each year, with theory training and pool lessons during the winter months, ready to begin open water lessons when the water warms up. Theory and Pool lessons are completed at Mary Hare School, and open water lessons will be either at the coast, or inland. Ocean Divers are encouraged to continue on to Sport Diver (PDF) as soon as possible. Dive Leader (PDF) and Advanced Diver (PDF) training are available when the demand arises.

BSAC Skill Development Courses

Within Newbury SubAqua Club we are able to offer BSAC Skill Development Courses, which we run in house, and also in conjunction with neighbouring branches. We also encourage our members to attend regional SDC’s. We have instructors qualified to present the following SDC’s:-

• Chartwork and Position Fixing
